EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This paper evaluates British military investment in  Land-based non-Sea Harrier/Harrier fixed wing combat aircraft and  Carrier-based Sea Harrier/Harrier combat aircraft since the 1967 Carrier Decision.
It then summarises the operational return and combat success realised from each aircraft group and draws conclusions and recommendations from these comparisons.
